Privacy Policy
Tracklang (“we”, “our”) operates an exam-prep platform currently in closed beta. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have. It applies to tracklang.com and any subdomain we operate.
1. What we collect
Account data. Email address, password hash, display name, target language, and target exam.
Learning data. Test answers, drill responses, vocabulary review history, diagnostic results, time-on-task, and derived skill estimates. This is the data we need to run the spaced-repetition vault and adaptive recommendations.
Technical data. Browser, device type, IP address (truncated for analytics), and a session cookie. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
We use account and learning data to operate the product: schedule reviews, surface drills, show progress, and improve the recommendation engine. Aggregated and de-identified statistics may be used to publish content (e.g. average band gain across users) but never in a form that identifies an individual.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with infrastructure providers strictly necessary to run the service (hosting, database, email delivery, error tracking), under data processing agreements. A current list is available on request.
4. Retention
Account and learning data are retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting hello@tracklang.com. We will delete personal data within 30 days; aggregated statistics derived from your activity may persist in a non-identifying form.
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, and similar frameworks) you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email the address above.
6. Children
Tracklang is intended for users 16 and older. If you believe a child under 16 has registered without consent, please contact us and we will remove the account.
7. Changes
We will post material changes to this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
